Immediately upon entering the interior, wrought iron fence and stone staircase leaves you indecisive on which way to go, but at the same time the light draws you in. That light precisely will lead you into a spacious living room with a massive wooden table which seats twelve and, once unavoidable part of istrian houses, a traditional fireplace. While the opening on the left leads into a kitchen equipped in a modern fashion, the front one draws you onto a terrace overlooking the white truffle habitat, the impounded lake Butoniga and eight picturesque, historical small towns: Zrenj, Oprtalj, Motovun, Zamask, Grimalda, Dragu, Gračišće and Vrh. On the same floor there is a spacious two-person en suite bedroom and a way out onto the terrace.

On the same floor is a spacious bedroom for two persons with a private bathroom connected to a terrace. Is there a better way to start your morning than drinking a cup of coffee whileoverlooking a hundred and fifty year old olive tree? If you decide on a glass of wine, there is also a wine cellar. Villa Maslina offers quality wines from local winemakers but also products made by the Karlic family such as istrian sausages with truffles, truffle cheese, truffle honey… .

The second floor is reserved for three bedrooms called Belica, Buža and Karbona, each named after a local olive sort. Besides the names, they also differ in furniture style and color of the walls – the first one is yellow, the second one is orange while the third one olive green. Each bedroom has an en suite with two sinks and a shower, hardwood and oak floors while Belica also has a terrace overlooking beautiful vineyards.

The ground floor is reserved for recreation, pastime and relaxation. Nothing is left to case. Here all generations are taken care of. For the youngest there is a children’s corner while for the older ones there is room for relaxation – a wellness with a four person Jacuzzi and a Finnish sauna. Also on the floor there is a billiards and darts machine as well as an exercise area with a direct exit to the pool. The guests also have a laundry at their disposal.

The fifth and also the largest bedroom in Villa Maslina is situated on the ground floor. It is intended for four people and as well as the other rooms it also has a modern en suite. There is also a direct exit into the garden.

PIf you are craving for refreshment in the hot summer months there is a 50 sq.m garden pool featuring water heating and hydro-massage pumps. You can catch some sun in one of the twelve deck chairs and if you want a less isolated place pick one of the olive trees to give you some shade. While you carelessly enjoy the view of the lake and the surrounding centenary woods, your youngest can have fun in the sandbox, on the seesaw or the swings. In the garden there is also a roofed over outdoor kitchen with a barbecue grill, a gas cooker, a sink, a fridge and a twelve person table. Here guests can try to prepare istrian specialties themselves or rely on professional guidance.
